Entry requirements
- No formal entry requirements or specific educational prerequisites.
- If under 18, a parent or guardian must sign the enrolment form.
- HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an education and care setting must be completed with an external provider.
- Prospective students must be permanent Australian residents (or equivalent) or have the right to study in Australia other than on a student visa.
- Reasonable physical capability is required for practical components, including supervising and caring for children aged 0-6.
- Students must complete 160 hours of work placement in an early childhood education and care workplace.
- Placement supervisor must hold a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.
- Valid Working with Children Check required before placement.
- Placement providers may have additional requirements.
